Quad biking is the desert on your own terms. Instead of riding as a passenger, you take the controls yourself and ride an ATV across the sand, which makes it the most hands-on and high-energy way to experience Qatar's dunes. It is a favourite for groups of friends, couples, and anyone who wants a bit of adrenaline rather than a scenic drive.
The dunes around Sealine are the classic spot for it, wide open sand made for exactly this. A local team gets you set up, briefs you on the controls and the safe lines, and keeps an eye on the group while you ride. Pickup is included from your hotel across Doha or from Hamad International for layover guests with a few hours to spare.
If you would rather ride than drive, the half and full day safaris cover dune bashing in a Land Cruiser, and the camel safari is the calm, slow alternative to all of it.
